State award winning producer and designer from the Arctic Circle.
Julius Oförsagd is a designer, a producer and a consultant, graduated from the University of Lapland with a Master of Art and Design. Julius lives in Rovaniemi, in the Arctic Design Capital and in the official home of Santa Claus , in Lapland, Finland.
Julius is the CEO and Creative Director for the Arctic Factory (Julius Oförsagd Company Ltd). It is a concept and design house for creating WOW-effects. It is a hybrid of design agency and production company. The Arctic Factory provides product and service design solutions as well as provides production services; project management, festivals and other productions.
Julius enjoys improv acting and has a passion to make dreams come true and is constantly dreaming beyond now and designing a better future.
Julius has extensive experience in a variety of creative productions. Some of his achievements include; producing the feature film Snowqueen in 2014, producing the world’s most northern design week, Arctic Design Week, since 2011, producing the World's Forest Days, together with the United Nations and Finnish ministry of agriculture and forestry, in Rovaniemi in 2013. He has also been brand manager of the Finnish Scouts 2013 - 2015 and the experience director in the world's biggest Finnjamboree (17 000 participants) Roihu in 2016.
In 2016 and 2017 Julius was the Lapland coordinator of Finland’s 100 year celebration. Julius is also the chairman of the cluster of the Lapland Creative and culture industries.
Julius has been awarded by the government of Finland (Sammontekijä) in 2010 and by Finland's Entrepreneurs Association (Lapland's Young Entrepreneur of the Year) in 2015. Julius also received the Rovaniemi Culture Award twice, in 2012 and 2013.
